Selknam joined the Semi Final picture in dramatic fashion against Dogos XV last weekend. This is their first time back since their defeat to Peñarol in the 2022 Final.
Peñarol have a 7 game winning streak against Selknam, with the most recent clash ending in a bit of controversy.

Selknam are without head coach, Jake Mangin, he has been banned for 7 weeks for abusing the referee and assistant referee in last weeks victory. Selknam are on red hot form with 3 crucial victories on the bounce that has got them into the Semi Final at the death.

Peñarol still have Warren Gatland around and hoping that last week was a blip in their form. Not the Wales curse looming into Montevideo. Andres Vilaseca returned last week to the bench from injury but has dropped back out the squad. The Uruguay captain will be a loss for Peñarol. Portuguese International Manuel Cardoso Pinto continues at full back. A few changes across the park after last weeks defeat. Lucas Bianchi takes the 7 shirt from Carlos Deus and Santiago Civetta takes the 6 shirt. Ignacio Facciolo comes in for Ícaro Amarrillo in the 11 shirt, while its a change at inside centre with Bautista Farise takes the shirt from Alfonso Perillo Albaraccín. Peñarol have the season form and a better head to head record to enter this game as favourites.

Selknam travel to Montevideo in great form and will be looking to cause an upset again this weekend. They won’t have their head coach available on the side line but after his sending off last week Matías Garafullic has been cleared to play in the Semi Final. The only change they make is the acrobatic Cristobal Game starts with Nicolás Saab on the bench. Selknam will be looking for starting hooker Salvador Lues to continue with his try scoring prowess from last weekend. There will be plenty of forwards graft on show tonight to try and slow down the play and frustrate Peñarol.

It may look a clean cut for Peñarol on form and on paper, however, I can see Selknam spoiling the party tonight!
